Aggregates

Do you depend on aggregates for completing your construction projects? If you’re looking for a supplier of high-quality aggregate materials in central PA, you’ve come to the right place! As one of the top aggregates suppliers in the region, Union Quarries has the right aggregate products for your needs. By mining limestone, we can produce a wide assortment of aggregate types ranging from small to large sizes and in fine and coarse textures.

We Carry Various Types of Aggregates

You can find many types of aggregates — they’re the most commonly mined minerals in the world. Examples of the materials we produce and distribute include:

  • 2A stone: Also known as 2A crushed stone or 2A modified stone, this material is a mixture of crushed stone and coarse stone dust and derives its name from its 2-inch top size. Builders typically use 2A stone in projects where drainage and stability are primary concerns. Examples include use as a sub-base for roadways, walking paths and driveways.
  • AASHTO No. 57: AASHTO 57 crushed stone is a clean material that won’t compact and features a 1 1/2-inch top size. Typical applications include as backfill for retaining walls, as well as a sub-base for sheds and driveway crushed gravel or stone. Many ready-mix concrete and hot-mix asphalt products contain No. 57 aggregate as its primary ingredient.
  • 2RC stone: This select granular product consists of a mixture of fine material and coarse stone. This “dirty” aggregate will not compact or drain, making it suitable for projects where stability and compaction are concerns. Typical uses include fill or backfill material.
