- Construction entrances and ditch lining: Before you begin your project, it’s important to ensure your construction site is ready for all the machines that will roll through. A coarse blend like AASHTO #1 works well for construction entrances and ditches.
- Walkways and driveways: If you’re laying an off-road path for people or cars, an aggregate with midsize particles is best. An option like AASHTO #57 washed is ideal for this application.
- Road fill: The main requirement for road fill aggregate is that it doesn’t compact over time. Drainage ability and aggregate compounds can vary based on preference. For this application, our suggestions include PA 2A or 2RC stone.
- Water landscaping: Create a clear separation between land and lake with rip rap aggregates. Sizes range from 3-inch to 6-inch boulders in R3 to boulders up to 42 inches in R8.
